Hello Friends List!
I am posting because I never do, and Melissa wishes that I would!
Unfortunately, I have no information that would be new to Melissa's ears... but I'll give a proper update anyway :-)
Life is good. Lately, it's been a little too busy for my liking, but for the most part it's of my own doing. My time is filled with working out, shopping for, prepping, packing, or cooking food, taking care of my house, pups, and man, and working.
I've finally hit the 50lbs lost mark, but I do have about another 50 to go. I exercise 6 days a week, between personal training, running, and now I've started cycling. I frequently get annoyed and frustrated toward the slowness of my weight loss progress. However, I am remarkably stronger and more fit than I ever have been in my life...so I try to keep the whining to a minimum.
I've enjoyed keeping up my weight loss/food blog over at blogger. It forces me to take more pictures, which is always good! I've had that for 2 years now! Man, time flies!
Joel is good. Sweet as ever :-) He is starting a new job next week, so that's exciting! (its all nerd stuff to me! :-) )
Pups are good, too. Zevon is still a bit sickly. They don't know whats wrong, but it doesn't seem to be affecting his long term health or quality of life.. so we're just kind of ignoring it.
Hmmmmm what else?
I've been doing some more freelance design work, more invitations and things for weddings and showers and the like, as well as some marketing pieces for the gym I train at.
I do find it very fun. But I still don't have the sureness to decide if it's a path I really want to pursue. I think for now, I'll just keep it with the friends and family :-)
Mom is going in for her knee replacement next week. Recovery for that is going to be brutal :-( Not looking forward to that, for her.
But she always bounces right back! I know that I am destined to follow the same path as her with all these medical problems. But I do feel like I am doing tremendous things for my body by getting it into such good shape, and (planning to) keep it there. So watching her go through these horrible things, even at her current size (she's tiny! go mom!) makes me want to strengthen these muscles even more and support my joints and bones in any way I can.
Work has not been as great as it previously was. Some bad bananas have been allowed to spoil the bunch. Morale comes and goes, and I know that. But I've been doing a lot of "what do I really want to be doing?!" type-thinking lately. So, we'll see what happens.
I wish I had something to update about for Miss Melissa :) But she talks to me everyday!
If I have any readers still on here, feel free to ask a question!
